Can the dream of Swachch Bharat come true?
( A Speech)
(On the request of my friend Rajani I prepared a speech for her son studying in 8th Std. in a simpler way as simple as possible with a kannada verse in the beginning that should enable him to participate in speech competition as suggested by her. Here is a copy of it)

These are the cheerful literary lines written by the eminent kannada poet Da Ra Bendre and really that auspicious moment has come now. The dream of Swachch Bharat should come true. Only thing people should change their mindset towards sanitation use.
Honorable head-mistress, respected teachers and my dear friends, in this context I wish to express my views on the dream of Swachch Bharat that certainly comes true.
Our PM Narendra Modi has undertaken a huge task to clean India and we have to act accordingly.
Is there anything impossible for man? Sudha Chandran dances so well though she has lost her leg, physically handicapped Poornima Sinha climbs Mount Everest, being blind Ashwini Angadi has become source for blind people , if Beno Zephine becomes IFS Officer, can it be impossible to make clean India when a majority of Indians are youth? No Never!
We are very keen in imitating the life style of Westerners but have forgotten in the field of cleanliness. In Finland there is a separate arrangement to collect cigarates' smoke ash in a small bag. In America people while taking their pet-dogs for walking carry plastic bags with them to avoid their pet-dogs' open defecation and put in separate dustbin but in India people take pet dogs for walking only for the sake of open defecation.
In Singapore people grow trees beside latrines but in India the bottom of the tree itself has become urinals. Bus-windows have become basin to spit out,to omit. Because of these reasons the dream of cleanliness has not yet come true but we can easily overcome such things if we change our mindset.
Cleanliness is next to godliness. Cleanliness is health and happiness. Such thoughts should be inculcated among children in their life in the beginning itself. Children should be informed regarding E-waste. Cleanliness-lesson should begin from home itself.
Who does not know Tirupati Timmappa? The sweet Tirupati Laddu has become very famous. Though lakhs and lakhs of people visit there daily, the love of environment, the use of solar, and cleanliness in Tirupati is amazing. If anyone says Swachch Bharat is a mere dream, do they think Tirupati is in America? People in Tirupati aren't Indians ?
Zoo in Mysore is Indian clean and green Zoo. Whole world knows about it. A few years back in Mysore Zoo plastic bottles were thrown here and there. So a plan was undertaken by the organizer in the zoo. When they sold plastic water bottles they charged 10 rupees extra and a sticker was attached to the bottle. I f the customer gave back the bottle they would get 10 rupees in return, even members in the zoo would get 10 rupees if they gave back the bottles.
This plan worked out well and that resulted in cleanliness in zoo. If the similar plan is followed while selling things like chips-packets, chocolate and so on cleanliness can maintain at a greater level.
Swachch Bharat Abhiyana needs hard and honest work. Nowadays we see catching brooms in hand and facing for clicking photos and afterwards throwing the brooms there only- such act will never fulfil the dream of cleanliness.
Of course some of the youth organizations, self-service organizations have done the work at the most. A few of them are doing selfless service to maintain cleanliness. If more and more people change their mindset towards cleanliness and join their hands, cleanliness can be possible we can make clean and green India.
