ಬಾಳ ಕಥೆಗಳು   (ಸಂಗ್ರಹ)


1  ಒಲವಿನ ಬಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ಆಕೆ ಕಿತ್ತೆಸೆದಳು. ಅವನೂ ಹಠಮಾರಿ. ಅವಳನ್ನೇ ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿದ. ಕೊನೆಗೆ, ಅವಳು ನಡೆದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಗುರಿ ಗರಿಕೆಯಾದ.

 

2  ಕಡಲಿನ ಚೆಲುವಿಗೆ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಠಕಾಂತಿ. ತುಂಬುವ ಅಲೆಗಳು ಇಡೀ ದಿನ ಹಾಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಾದ ಇರುತ್ತದೋ, ವಿನೋದ ಇರುತ್ತದೋ ಬಲ್ಲವರಿಲ್ಲ.

 

3    ಈಗ ಬಾಗಿಲಿಲ್ಲದ ಎದೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಭಾರವಾಗುತ್ತಲೇ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಭಾವಗಳು ಹಿಂದೊಮ್ಮೆ ಬಯಲಲ್ಲಿ ಆಟವಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವು.

 

4            ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ, ನಿಟ್ಟುಸಿರು, ಅಸಹಾಯಕತೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿಶ್ಯಬ್ದದ ನಡುವೆಯೇ ತನ್ನ ಹಾಜರಿ ಹಾಕುವ ಸಾವು ತನಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದವರ ವಿಳಾಸ ಹುಡುಕುತ್ತದೆ

5           ಮಹಿಳಾ ಹಕ್ಕುಗಳ ಹೋರಾಟದ ನೇತ್ರತ್ವ ವಹಿಸಿ ಹೆಸರಾಗಿದ್ದವನು, ಹೋರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವಾಗ ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೂಡಿ ಬೀಗ ಜಡಿದು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ.

6   ಕಾಲೇಜು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿ, ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದ್ದವರು, ಮತ್ತೆ ಭೇಟಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು ಅವರ ಮೊಮ್ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಮಾಡಿ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗುತ್ತೇವೆಂದು ಹಠ ಹಿಡಿದಾಗ.

     7                                                                    ಮಗು ಅರ್ಧ ತಾಸಿನಿಂದ ಅತ್ತರೂ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯಾರೂ ಮುಂದಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಮೊಬೈ ಲ್ ರಿಂಗಾದ  ತಕ್ಷಣ ಅದನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಓಡಿಬಂದರು.

8 ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಿಕ್ಷೆ ಬೇಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಮುದುಕನೊಬ್ಬ ಅನಾಥವಾಗಿ ಕಸದ ಬುತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿಬಿದಿದ್ದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಗುವೊಂದನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿ, ನಂತರ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಅಜ್ಜನಾದ.

9 ಊಟಕ್ಕೆಂದು ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಸ್ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು. ಆತ, ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಎದ್ದಾಗ ಪಕ್ಕದ ಸೀಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಕರೊಬ್ಬರ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತು ರೂ. ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಅದನ್ನು ಜೇಬಿಗಿಳಿಸಿ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಕೂತುಬಿಟ್ಟ ಬಸ್ ಇಳಿದು ಮನೆ ತಲುಪಿದಾಗ ನೆನಪಾಯ್ತು-ಟಿಕೆಟ್ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರೆದುಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಎಂಬತ್ತು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಮರೆತಿದ್ದು.

10 ಟೀ ಕುಡಿದು, ಬಿಲ್ ಕೊಡಲು ಹೋದವ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ರಶ್ ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ, ಮೆಲ್ಲನೆ  ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗದಂತೆ ಹೊರ ನಡೆದ.ರೂ.10 ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ  ಮನಸ್ಸು ಸಂಭ್ರಮಿಸುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ಅದಾಗಲೇ ಆಘಾತ ಕಾದಿತ್ತು. ಅವನ ಕಾರಿನ ಗಾಜು ಒಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಕಳ್ಳರು, ಗಂಟೆಯ ಹಿಂದೆಯಷ್ಟೇ  ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ನಿಂದ ಡ್ರಾ ಮಾಡಿ ತಂದಿದ್ದ ರೂ 5 ಲಕ್ಷವಿದ್ದ ಬ್ಯಾಗನ್ನು ಅಪಹರಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

11 ಡಿ. ಸಿ. ಸಾಹೇಬರ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ನಾಯಿ ಮರಿಗೆ ಡ್ರೈವರ್ ಒಂದೊಂದೆ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದ. ಎರಡನೇ ಪೊಟ್ಟಣ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದಾಗ ನೆನಪಾಯ್ತು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರುವರ್ಷದ ಮಗಳು ಐದು ರೂಪಾಯಿ ಕ್ರೀಂ ಬಿಸ್ಕತ್ ಗೆ ಹಠ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು, ತಾನು ಕೊಡಿಸದೇ ಬಯ್ದು ಪೆಟ್ಟುಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು ಇದೆಲ್ಲ ನೆನಪಾಗಿ ಆತ ಮಮ್ಮಲ ಮರುಗಿದ.

12 ಆಕೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಸೀರೆಗಳನ್ನು  ಕೊಂಡುಹೋದಳು. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಾದ್ಧಾಂತವಾಗಿ, ಅವಳ ಗಂಡ ಎರಡು ಸೀರೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿಸಲು ಹೋದಾಗ ಮಾಲೀಕ ವಾಪಸ್ ತೆಗೆದು ಕೊಳ್ಳಬಾರದೆಂದು ಮೊದಲೇ ಹೇಳಿ ಬಂದಿದ್ದುದು. ಪಾಪ ಆ ಬಡಪಾಯಿ ಗಂಡನಿಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

೧೩ ಅವಳು ಬದುಕಿದ್ದಾಗ ಒಂದು ಕ್ಷಣವೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಂಥಾ ಪ್ರೇಮದ ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಅವಳು. ಈಗ ಆತನೊಬ್ಬನೇ ಕುಳಿತು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ಎಣಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಪಾಪ ಕೇಳುವವರಿಲ್ಲ!

14 ಅವನು,ಅವಳನ್ನು ಮುತ್ತಿನ ಪಲ್ಲಕ್ಕಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸುತ್ತಾಡಿದ. ಅವಳು ಮೈ ಮರೆತಳು. ಇವನು ದರ್ಬಾರನ್ನೇ ನಡೆಸಿದ! ತರುವಾಯ ....ಆತನಿಗೆ ನಾಲ್ಕು ಜನ ಹೆಗಲು ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಯಿತು.

15 ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಹಲವು ವರುಷ ಖುಶಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಬರ ಸಿಡಿಲಿನಂತೆ ಬಂದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಕೇಳಿ, ಆ ಹೃದಯಗಳು ಸಾವಿನ ಕಡೆ ಮುಖ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದವು. ಕಾರಣ, ಅವರ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯವರ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

16 ಅವನು ಅವಳಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಏನೆಲ್ಲಾ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಹೆತ್ತವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಒಂದು ಕ್ಷಣವೂ ಯೋಚಿಸಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಅದರ  ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಇಂದು ಅನಾಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

Women's Day

Today is March 8th, a day as unique and special for women as they are. This day is a time to reflect on progress made so far, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extra ordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.

              It is impossible to express the importance of International Women's Day in a few lines as the work done by women is far more than the words. Nowadays we can see women growing in every field even in army and everywhere.

    We must look backward as well as forward and remember the struggle that women faced  through out the centuries in glancing the basic rights that are taken for granted in western countries desperately needed in developing countries.

 It is an occasion to celebrate all the achievements and contributions that women have added to the world.
      Being a woman is a great feeling and a pride. If it is celebrated by everyone all over the world then happiness reaches ecstasy.
          
 Can we imagine life without a woman? It means a life without your mother, wife, sister, daughter or friend. No ,never very hard to imagine!  Women hold such a special position  and so we celebrate the spirit of womanhood all over the world on this day.
 
A woman needs to be duly recognized and given her due respect through out her life. It should not be a one day  façade .

The real gift for a woman is when she is loved and respected by her near and dear ones and she can walk the roads without any fear or shame, faced within or outside the four walls of her home.

       True empowerment comes through education and knowledge. So let's take the world in our stride and let's unleash the power within and bring a drastic change to reach the theme to step it up for Gender Equality.
               So let us have the enthusiastic spirit with us always. I end up with the message sent to me by my husband, brother and by many more around me on this auspicious day.

                       The willingness to listen,
                      the patience to understand,
                       the strength to support,
            the heart to care and just to be there,
                    that is the beauty of a lady!
