First Day in Brunei

We spent nearly two weeks in Brunei. Things were well planned. On the first day, at the day-break Pooja directed us to take a walk nearby outside the apartment every morning. When we went out I found the entire surroundings is green- green greenish. Wah! very happy felt like we're almost amidst nature. The gentle breeze and serene atmosphere did much to soothe the spirit. Houses are well built each house has atleast 2-3 different types of expensive cars in their compound. Surprised to see Indian flowers dattura, coloured hibiscus, nitya pushpa in their garden and familiar banana ,mangoe trees bearing ripen mangoes that are not plucked by others. Ifound people this side behave mannerly, wearing a broad-smile on their faces though we're unfamiliar to them.

Punu went to gym and swimming. Previous evening Pooja took him to that place and let him knew. Came back and ate a good amount of break fast. I liked 'holige' that watered my mouth and wondered how come we get it Brunei. then I came to know it's made by some Tamilians residing nearby.

It was the time of Ramdaan we couldn't go out to eat day time. drinking, eating, socializing out door is banned. Hence we cooked delicious dish and ate at home only. How nice it was! Pooja Punu Dad Rahul and me all did cooking and chatting that was memorable.

Pooja and Rahul took Dad fish market he showed them how to select good fish. on his returning Dad told Punu that in Brunei fishermen(seller) and buyer both go to fish market by their cars . No one walks. Road is less-travelled.
