Earthquake-the monster disaster
All around the world natural calamities like earthquakes, hurricanes, volcanoes are waiting to strike like a time bomb to explode and one such violent disaster took place in Nepal last Saturday.
It's a natural calamity. How furious and terrific it was, not only me, the whole globe is aware of that for non-stop news have been published and telecasted day-to-day happenings, deaths, reliefs, survivors likewise a lot and lot of in-formations regarding our neighboring country- these days.
The country has been devastated by quake and in this hour of calamity rescue, relief and rehabilitation has become a logistical nightmare.
It is really heart rendering to know that thousands and thousands of people died and a great no. of people are out in the air, became homeless, no roof over their heads, lakhs were injured and caused heavy damage, sought international aids.
Even our country has stretched hand forward to help and relief might be pouring in from across the globe but rebuilding the country may be an uphill task.
I burst into tears when I read touching stories from quake epicenter..."Father just buried, mother just buried, sister just buried, we have no shelter, no food and all the bodies are scattered around.." these were the painful screaming of survivors.
"..There is nothing left to go back to, everything destroyed, everything was moving and smashed apart.."
"..Before earthquake, there were 150 houses in the village now the village is not seen and there is nothing left.."
"Most of the victims are still buried under debris, those rescued scramble for food"
Despairingly, people moaned with groan.
When I read these with a torturing feeling, I voiced myself, "Oh my God, is there any other hell than this?"
"How can they be consoled"?
God only should bless them with firm inner strength and indomitable spirit.
I am amazed to know about the survivors in the disaster.
" A miraculous pullout of a 15year old boy alive of a rumble of seven story-building or a four year old baby was pulled out alive "
When numerous death took place, how come these survivors escaped from the merciless hands of "Death" ?
If anybody asks such query to people like me in mass, we simply stand stupefied or else slowly nod our heads from left to right, breathing-puffing like pulling lower-lip slowly forward wearing an awkward position of our face, showing empty-minded that's meaningless!
If we ask bit intelligent people, they say 'it's a matter of luck'
If we ask so-called learned people , they begin the 'Karma-philosophy' with their stress of Ego and Anger which never be understood.
Anyway it's a mystery of Nature that cannot be predicted. Nature is our mother. If mother nature gets angry, all become helpless. No one could standstill. Nothing can be done to stop Nature's fury.
It's true ! the real care for our environmental problem, is to understand that it's our prime duty to work to salvage mother Nature.
