A Man of Principles
(My
father was working as Tahsildhar in Sorab. At that time, we were staying in
Quarters. usually, my father used to sit in office-room while working at home.
Many times, I had observed him, doing his work without any distractions. Here
it’s the out-come of my memory.)
You know
he is a dignified gentleman
-of
a good extractions.
Simple,
decisive with courteous perfection.
Clads
himself in grey-white garment,
Sits in
his chamber, wearing a stern look
Yet
retains his usual cheerfulness
-on his broad spectacled face.
Completely
engaged with his duties
Not aware of the lives that surround him.
Never
a man of many words he is,
Ever a man of deeds.
Raised
his reputation to a very great height
-his wisdom, justice and courage.
No doubt he is a weighty speaker
-takes up
the arguments shortly, clearly and craftily
-touches the hearts of many listeners
But lingers in the minds of a few.
Can anyone call him a man of principles?
Certainly- for he is adorned with his good virtues,
-and admired by his fans.
