67th Republic Day 2016
Hi, Happy Republic Day!
It is celebrated on 26th every year to mark the enforcement of India's constitution.
Today 67th Republic Day is celebrated all over India but in the capital New Delhi the celebration takes place in a grand style.
I watched T V with great gusto. The occasion began at Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate where India's PM laid a chaplet out in New Delhi, the salutation of military parade by Indian President, bravery civilian awards and medals are given fly past by Indian Air Force and various cultural tableaus by different states were very attractive, promising and exciting!
At that moment, my stream of thought took me four years back when I was in-charge Principal of Independent P U College in Baad.
It was Republic Day 2012 celebrated in a grand manner in our college.
I was fortunate enough as I did the flag- hoisting amidst all the faculties and a large number of our students and more over the staff and students of Degree College who were present in our college premise as they didn't have their own-building.
I unfurled the flag respectfully and all of us sang the National-Anthem and addressed to my dearest obedient students with a lots of love and affection-continued with distribution of sweets and ended with a good pre-planned cultural program which was still ever green and unforgettable in my mind.
Even I had another chance and it was in 2011 on 15th August Independence Day I did flag-hoisting. I could remember my daughter, my son and my husband had congratulated me as it was a rare chance and a very few would get it! Really I have that proud feeling even now!
East or West India is the best -this is what my son, my daughter and my son-in-law who work in abroad have expressed today also that they felt happy participating in the Republic Day Celebration in Indian embassy and sent me lovely pics that made me extremely happy. I felt like sharing my piece of joy with you all as joy is doubled when it is shared!
Let's take a leap of faith and live in harmony!!!
