Father’s
Day
Today is June 15th. Father’s
Day. Happy Father’s Day- to all fathers around the world.
I have seen children celebrating Mother’s
Day in a grand manner. A few of them celebrate Father’s Day. Why is this
difference? Mostly fathers are engaged with their work -outside as their area
of work is larger, being in the midst of office, home, children, bank, life,
insurance etc. they forget their birthdays.
Father
is the Super-Hero in a family. He has the biggest and loudest laugh that
teaches his children to laugh through his tears and fears and the world will be
a better place to live in. In parenting, his warmth, security, kindness,
forgiveness, hope and eternal love make him strongest in the sight of children.
When children watch their mother, they wonder
where she gets her strength. It’s from father! He has that smile which cannot
be replaceable on the whole earth. He forgets the mistakes and failures of
grown-up children, stays cool and offers his children the strength to stand
alone and face today’s challenges on their own. He is the special father. He is
child’s real-life hero!
Of course, from centuries, men are defined by
their jobs. But in modern millennium, their roles they play as husbands and
fathers are also becoming prominent. A father is guiding light whose love shows
children their way. Someone rightly said, “A good father is one of the most
unsung, unpraised, unnoticed and yet one of the most valuable assets in our
society”.
